Pet Food Kills: Here's why

Pet foods are like junk foods for our pets.
Got your attention yet?
We all know that junk food is terrible to us humans
but did you know that dogs and people roughly share 75 - 84% of the same genetic makeup?
That means that pet food could be lethal to your dog.
Here are five more things you should know about processed dog food
DEAD, DYING, DISEASED, DISABLED

The quality of processed dog food is questionable.
Most dog food is made out of low-quality ingredients. We're talking about condemned beef, empty grain hulls swept from the floor, pesticide contamination, unwanted chemicals, and a lot more.
That doesn't sound appealing to us humans, then why should we give these to our pets?

INCIDENTS OVER THE YEARS.
FDA has received numerous complaints throughout the years regarding these dog food. One was in 2007, where dogs and cats were going through kidney failure. It turns out these brands were adding melamine and cyanuric acid to make it look as if they had more protein.
As reported by CNN in April 2007, there have already been 38 deaths linked to the pet brands in question.
In February 2008, reported by the New York Times, the Chinese manufacturers responsible indicted on charges of intentionally defrauding and misleading American manufacturers about poisonous ingredients used in pet food.

THE LOOPHOLE
The AAFCO and FDA are responsible for dog food standards...
So how are they getting away with it?

SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We highly recommend sticking with home-cooked meals for dogs. Remember that the DNA of humans and dogs are highly similar. What's right for you is also suitable for them.

This is what a healthy dog food looks like.
In case you're not able to prepare home-cooked meals for your dogs, make sure to read the labels of the food you're going to buy.
