We believe in sourcing our ingredients in sustainable ways that serve this Earth. That’s why we partner with manufacturers who produce Glucosamine with a breakthrough ecological process called “Direct Fermentation”.

To put this in perspective, the old method of Glucosamine extraction produces a mind-blowing 460 tons of wastewater, whereas the new method of “Direct Fermentation” produces only 10 tons of wastewater.

This game-changer process generates 98% less wastewater than a traditional glucosamine extraction process directly from shellfish.

The wastewater disposal has been an ongoing problem for years because the majority of manufacturers couldn’t afford the proper water waste treatment. As a result, wastewater was dumped in the environment on a consistent basis.

On top of that, the shellfish population has been decimated over the years. We want to promote the long-term sustainability of these beautiful creatures, that’s why we source our ingredients ethically.

That’s just one example. We also use organic and all-natural ingredients in our other products whenever possible—and we’re constantly working to ensure these ingredients are also sourced in ethical and sustainable ways.
